Hey there man! Good morning to you smile.gif

The breakdown is good and steady, but there are timing issues still in the main riff. I suggest you give this one a bit more time and we can go on with something else in parallel so that you won't lose momentum, ok?

Hey man smile.gif Taking things in order:

1) The timing is faulty in many points, most probably due to the speed and the right hand - it's just a matter of feeling the drum groove, practicing slowly and anticipating all the moves. Anticipation is a strong weapon wink.gif Be a step ahead of what you are actually playing and things will be easier. Always!

For this, when you practice slowly, always anticipate your next move so that the transition will occur naturally. Once your muscle memory kicks in, anticipation will prove useful in improvisation, when you know your harmonic environment and you can think a bit ahead about what you will play smile.gif

Now, for the next task, I was thinking you could go on with honing rhythm, so let's try this one:

What do you think?

Hey man, this is definitely good biggrin.gif You have good timing, but I know you can get this tighter AND be more focused on the bends wink.gif THere are some of the bends which you neglected a bit - such as the ones at the end of the harmonics riff. Can you go for another shot? Don't hurry and focus on the details wink.gif

Hi Cos,

Hopefully this one is a lil better smile.gif i think the bends are a bit more constant on it and i really tried to make sure they matched the note they're spos to be hitting

I also noticed, there's no palm muting on the main rift so i removed that too

Hey there amigo!

It's shaping up nicely! What I would add:

- the bending/ vibrato in the first riff should be wider and a bit more aggressive
- the palm muted part is a bit to dry - by this, I mean that you have placed your right hand far to close towards the neck and thus the chords are not resonating anymore.
- the bends in the middle of the harmonics riff are still a bit uncertain - I think you should isolate this passage and work on it a bit slower, in order to understand the way it's built and practice it accordingly smile.gif

Get these in shape and the lesson is yours to command wink.gif

Hi Mate,

Will do mate, i think the palm muting might be the recording as im right at the back of the bridge, but i ll try and lighten up how much pressure im putting on the strings

As for the bends, is it the the section with the multiple bends that is letting me down? But yea i ll slow it down and get them tighter smile.gif

Yeah mate, that's the one. Please, do not rush with the bends - they are not easy to implement, so take a bit of time to understand the execution and the place where they are implemented in the groove smile.gif I'm talking about timing here wink.gif

Of course, if there are any questions - go ahead and ask, ok?
