> Rules

Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Original lesson: Iced Earth Style by Ben Higgins

This is my third take of the lesson (I didn't post on REC my second take). I realize with this piece that I am not very talented at rhythm playing, nevertheless I want to do justice for this nice lesson since I know Ben must have spent a long time preparing it.. Thanks for the comments!

You did a great job! I remember your first take and I can see a big progress since than!
The first part was very good the timing was solid and you were in the groove!
The second part 0:29 started to be a little shaky! You right hand is very stiff! Try to relax it a little bit I think it will make a big difference and you will get results faster!
Also I would suggest to practice the second part with a click at a slower tempo!

Hey Mert! We have discussed on this in your thread so, I will only sum up that some more slow practice will only prove to be as helpful as it was until now - as Alex said, the differences are visible and you are only going UP the ladder wink.gif

cheerios and keep up the good work my friend!

Almost there, Mert ! You've made improvements... if you can still improve the relationship between right and left hand for that second half and make it tighter then it would sound pro wink.gif
