If you think about it it's insane..partially hype and partially a great guitar...but how much hype and how much guitar?

I love looking at old and vintage gear but really they are just for collectors. I just keep thinking was guitar building better in those days? dry.gif If so then modern manufacturers need to re think their building techniques if they can't improve over 50 years. Definately about the hype and rarity I think.
But having said that if I had the money I'd probably but it laugh.gif

Exactly that, because there was such a limited number manufactured they rarely appear on the market for sale. A friend of mine in London (he was a famous palyer in the 70's and has always been a ollector of rare and vintage stuff) has one. He paid a 5 figure amount for it 20 years ago!! It rarely gets used but is always there in his Studio!

I found a Gibson 57 les paul goldtop for sale in brussels....with paf's...57 is the year they changed from P90 to PAF..
The guy who sells it says it's allmost the same but it doesn't have the peter green -clapton- kossof mythical stories behind it .....

Anyways ..i can go check it out and hopefully play it....
