Hi Alex, and thanks for this thread smile.gif

My goals, there are a lot but here are the most important, I would like to be able to improvise and play something good over a backing track. Learning theory looks interesting too, I would really like to learn more about it. Improving my Alternate picking while changing / crossing strings is really something important.

My weakness, Inside picking, sweep picking, Alternate picking with strings changing, theory, improvisation, speed

My strongest point, I think I'm a good rhythm player, I learned staccato, palm muting on low strings, gallop and things like that by myself, and really naturally.

My favorite guitar player, Dave Mustaine, Yngwie Malmsteen, Michael Angelo Batio and many others that I don't know the name. Mainly metal guitarist and Neo classical guitarist.

Hey Alex ! smile.gif

I won't be able to record audio for a week, I'm at my dad's house for a week, without my 1/4" to 1/8" adapter ( Amp to computer ) sad.gif

I'm still working the ending part, I can't handle 80 bpm flawlessly, but I'm working on it smile.gif

Hi Alex ! smile.gif

I'm still working with the ending part, but I think I'm almost doing it right. That exercise is really killer laugh.gif but it will help me for sure when I'll be able to play it right. smile.gif

My goal is to post a take this week. This workout isn't too fast and it's not too hard, but the ending is like all weak point at the same time laugh.gif

Hey Alex smile.gif

I've practiced it for like an hour and half, at 80 bpm, but it's getting even harder to play while I'm recording. Stress makes my fingers forget what they are doing, and thats how I mess up my take laugh.gif I'll record a take tomorrow , good or not, and I'll post new take as soon as I hear any improvement. wink.gif

Hi Alex ! Sorry if I didn't replied in a while, I was away without my guitar for an entire week. Now I'm back to practicing, and I'll do my best to record your lesson as soon as possible, it's a real challenge to play this flawlessly. The ending triplets, I think they are triplets, are still not good enough to be recorded :/

Hi Alex !

I'm so sorry ! ohmy.gif I never posted my take and now my amp / guitar cable is "dying". sad.gif

I've practiced without amps anyway, and I have nothing to record acoustic at the moment, that lesson is now easy, but I do it everyday to practice stamina and memory.

I'm always ready for a new challenge ! smile.gif

EDIT : I have a "special" request. Can we try working on improvising as soon as possible ? School just started, and me and my friends planned that every Friday, we will now jam together, and I would really love to improvise. I tried to improvise by myself, but it wasn't satisfying and didn't really fit with the chords / song. Can we ?
