Guys...last evening turned into an incredible array of events which took me a little by surprise smile.gif

I was downtown at the Bucharest Rock the City festival, to see Soulfly, Black Label Society (Zakk Wylde KICKS MAJOR BEHIND live!!!) and Machine Head. I decided to leave with a bunch of friends when all of a sudden, at the exist guess who I spotted... Andy James smile.gif the dude came to Romania to meet a common friend. Well, I went to talk to him and since we all were hungry, we went to Hard Rock Caffe to stuff our faces.

Andy was very pleasant to talk to - he's extremely down to earth and we haven't talked about guitar related stuff too much smile.gif just because I didn't want to make him feel like he is there for an examination or something..

Hopefully I will convince them to stay in Bucharest today as well - got two more invitations at the third day at Rock The City laugh.gif

Will keep you updated

Cosmin

Does he eat as fast as he plays?

Any chance of getting him to defect from LL? Actually just kidnap him!

That's EXACTLY what I didn't want to do wink.gif I just tried to make the man feel comfortable so that he would remember having a good time in Romania. I told him that he is welcome to come back as my guest anytime he wishes, so I hope he will return soon.

Among all the things he told me about, for instance there was this little funny story with Guthrie Govan and him laugh.gif Andy told me that when they are playing together, Guthrie will most likely play an impossibly complicated lick and he always asks him why does he have to complicate things that much, and while he does that, he takes Guthrie's lick and strips it down somehow so that it will sound more 'to the point' as Andy said.

He is a pretty straightforward dude, with which I am glad to have been able to have a pint! biggrin.gif Let's see what the future brings smile.gif

Cosmin

PS: Yesterday I've seen The Cult, Evanescence and Guns n Roses - BY FAR, Evanescence was the BEST BAND IN THE WHOLE FESTIVAL. PERIOD! Those two guys Amy Lee has brought in the band - the drummer and rhythm guitarist from Dark New Day, were the best thing she did in her whole career laugh.gif Jesus Christ, that drummer is INCREDIBLE! I knew him from the Dark New Day band but I have never in my life imagined that he plays like that live - a perfect pack of balance, touch, showmanship, coherence and attitude...

HAHA.. Hell Yea I would have, I'd love to speak to anybody who has risen to the top of their field after Years of hardwork. Andy is pretty young now.... imagine where his music will be in 10 years? He may evolve and grow another finger???? cool.gif

That is awesome. I'd love to meet that guy, he's a monster player. Not sure I could stop myself from spending every second of it trying to talk about guitars with him.

This is my favorite song!
