Hey folks, anyone know any metronome timing games? One that I've been doing is setting 4 bars of click on guitar pro, then one bar of rest and tapping different rhythms/playing exercises over it, gradually decreasing the 4 bars of click to one and the bars of rest to 4.
Its been a sad realization and frustrating at first for me, but you get the hang of it fairly quickly and improve!

Anyone know any other fun ways of using a metronome/improving your natural sense of time?

Cheers.

I do something similar. I use Jazz chords.

I start out playing a chord at half notes, then gradually move in until I am playing rhythms that I find strange or new. I use a half-note rhythm with a chord in the key signature as a backdrop. That way, if I mess up, I can go back to that and attempt to take off again. I try using chords that only sound good. If I mess up at all, I have to start over. If there is a rhythm I create that I cannot consistently play, I start over, and at a slower pace. That way I can play that rhythm perfectly and build up again.

My base time is 60 BPM for new signatures and progressions, 80 for old ones, and my current max speed limit for this can be anywhere between 120 and 180 BPM depending on how complicated I make the rhythm.

Turned to me
And spoke:

Light the fire deep inside.
Light the fires!
