Nice playing!!
I have two questions.
1. What is the chord progression of the backing track?
2. How do you create the backing tracks? By recording your guitar playing? or all by software simulation?
Thanx and give me days to continue your solo.

The chord progression is
Dmi - Bb - Gmi - F
I have a software I am working with it's called Logic I use it for all my recordings
This track has programmed drums I played drums and guitars

Hello Alex.
The original speed is too fast for me, so I slow it down to 80% speed. Sorry...
This is my take.

And what are "mix" and "master" in recording?
I don't know their meaning. Thanx!!

I don't know their meaning. Thanx!!

Mixing is when you are putting all the tracks together and creating a mix so nothing is coming out and everything is balanced
Mastering is a final process that goes on top of already mixed track it just makes it louder adding EQ, compression and sometimes putting it through expensive analog consoles
A lot of the times a good mastering can save a track! smile.gif
I hope that helps! I relied about signing you up for the recording mentoring? Are you still interested?

Thank you for your answer.

I am afraid I can not afford another homework about recording.
So let me focus on theory so far.
But if I have any problem about recording, can I ask you for help?
And how about my D minor solo playing?
Thank you!!

Hi I have prepared a new assignment! I think a good idea is to talk about circle of fifths and harmonic minor! Are you familiar with the circle of fifths?
Let me know and I can explain it in details!

Please explain for me, thanx!!

If you will look at the picture you will se that by going clockwise sharps being added counter clockwise flats
Attached Image

Sharp being added in this order:

F# - C# - G# - D# - A# - E#

Flats being aded in this order:

Bb - Eb - Ab - Db - Gb - Cb

Here is the breakdown of major scales and parallel minors with sharps and flats:

G (E minor) = F#
D (B minor) = F# - C#
A (F# minor) = F# - C# - G#
E (C# minor) = F# - C# - G# - D#
B (G# minor) = F# - C# - G# - D# - A#
F# (D# minor) = F# - C# - G# - D# - A# - E#

F (D minor) = Bb
Bb (G minor) = Bb - Eb
Eb (C minor) = Bb - Eb - Ab
Ab (F minor) = Bb - Eb - Ab - Db
Db (Bb minor) = Bb - Eb - Ab - Db - Gb
Gb ( Eb minor) = Bb - Eb - Ab - Db - Gb - Cb
