Did anyone else see this ? A local woman in her 80's attempted to help out her local church by 'restoring' a fresco of Jesus that had deteriorated..

http://uk.news.yahoo.com/art-attack-pensio...-091917102.html

Believe it or not, people have now launched a petition to 'save' her version of it... for comedy reasons no doubt.. tongue.gif

It's been all over the news in Germany as well...
I mean, what else is there to talk about at the moment? It's not like we're fighting a huge financial crisis in some countries...oh wait... tongue.gif

I think they are using small stupid stories to cover up how bad our financial situation here in Spain. I guess it's time to emigrate to Germany or Argentina, like in the old times.

Oh well, it's not that bad of a painting. I think the "pensionista" was watching the Mr.Bean Movie...yeah, the one where he goes to the Getty Museum and "restores" the face of Whistler's mum....good movie. No need for subtitles....xD

Possibly. In the UK August is often called the silly season by the press becaase parliment is in recess so they resort to daft stories to fill the paper with 'news'.
