Greetings, wielders of the axe ! Just like the Apprentice group, you have a mighty assignment this week..

Task 32: https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/ls/Kiko_L...iro_Style_Solo/

It's a semi neo classical piece that involves picking, tapping, legato and sweeping... the Big 4 ! However, after the first listen you may realise it's not so bad after all. Tapping is one of those techniques that sounds amazing but doesn't require too much effort to play, just memorising shapes..

The sweeping and picking doesn't last too long so that should be manageable.. and the legato ascending sequence is also short. So I don't think this piece should present too much trouble to you (famous last words...??) tongue.gif

I look forward to hearing your takes !

Deadline is next Friday 7th September or I'll send you to a Britney Spears concert !

Ehhh, if by "should not present too much trouble" you mean "the hardest thing you've ever even attempted", then yeah, I shouldn't have too much trouble. biggrin.gif

Seriously though, I'm still working on the last one as well but it's still just beyond my current speed limit so it's still a bit of a struggle but I am determined so I'll get it done. This one as well although my finished products may have to come down the road at some point.

Hehe, m trying to explore more on improvising, thus the break. The challenges are getting harder, not sure a week is enough. smile.gif

Very little progress. The weakest point being trying to play 16th notes or faster randomly which isn't happening. sad.gif

I saw 3 videos and the tab is wrong at 2 places. smile.gif

I have found this a common problem with this instructor, sometimes the whole tabs are right

I don't think I can pull this off in one week. Sweeping and tapping like that is beyond my capabilities at the moment sad.gif In any case, I am hardly finding any time to practice these days and I am very sad about this sad.gif sad.gif sad.gif

All is good but yea, very busy. Before getting busy I had started to learn a very difficult lesson and now I am stuck with it, I want to finish learning it and speeding it up but I am just not finding enough time so far... I don't know how to handle this situation.. I can't just forget about it and start with easier stuff..
