Just read about it from the internet. Anyone tasted it ?

I'm going try this on Monday at work. laugh.gif

I understand that Mars bar has to be really cold before putting it in to oil ? And should I make flour mix or something similar ?

Fish and chips shop around Scotland use to do it. They use the same batter they use for the fish.

Hope our Ben will tell us his opinion happy.gif

Put the Mars Bar in the freezer!
Make a thick pancake batter, immerse the Mars Bars in the batter and then put straight into Deep Fat Fryer!

I tried these in Glasgow after we played there once at Glasgow Barrowlands. It was quite nice, even though I'm not a massive eater of chocolate/sweet things! They also did Deep Fried Pizza at the one I got the Mars Bars from too!!

Give alfajores instead of Snickers or Mars bars.

I had a deep fried Oreo cookie. It was good but its almost too extreme for my taste.

When I was in Las Vegas they had deep fried Snickers and Twinkies that had frosting and sprinkles on it. I didn't try but they looked really good. smile.gif

Haha - a true Gut Buster!

I think the way you make them...
1) Chill (but do not freeze) the Mars bar by leaving it in a fridge, or freezer, for a short while.
2) Mix 1 cup milk, 1 cup flour and 1 egg in a bowl. Whisk together to create a creamy batter.
3) Heat lots of oil in a deep fryer.
4) Coat the Mars bar completely in batter.
5) Lower into hot oil (around 350-375 degrees Fahrenheit, 175-190 Celsius) and fry until batter is golden brown.
(Note: be careful to lower it gently; otherwise the batter may come off)

Health benefits: 419 Cal of pure energy.
About the same amount as a Big Mac, just without that unnecessary protein and side scrape of lettuce. tongue.gif

Mars Bar has disowned all knowledge of these... Enjoy!

I had a fried Snicker bar at a county fair once (just once!). It was delicious! I never tried doing it at home though. Enjoy! biggrin.gif

I think a deep fired chocolate bar would be so unhealthy, you should probably only do it once or twice in your lifetime !! tongue.gif

Imagine Deep Fried Xmas Cake... how sweet and sickly would that be ??
