I am kind of following from way behind but well smile.gif I lost too much time with the string skipping lesson then had a small accident and yesterday I started playing again. This is a quick take, it has some mistakes but will fix them for a second take and post again. Any feedback is very welcome smile.gif Takes by Ben and Mr-D were just too great, hope I came close to doing it at least some justice smile.gif

Nice work Mert. It starts off very strong, good vibrato. I think that you can still improve on reducing unwanted string noise. I'm not sure if it's to do with your right hand position or whether it's your fretting hand.

When it gets going, it's clear to me that you can pick well but I would like to see you improving your overall articulation and feel. Learn how to use your pick to dig into certain notes and make them pop out. Hopefully that all makes some sense ? smile.gif

Thanks Ben smile.gif It all makes sense. I just don't know how to improve things you pointed out .. Articulation, feeling and all that. It all happens very much like a robot for me tongue.gif Unwanted string noise, I don't know how to reduce that either, I don't know why it is happening. My right hand may be too close to the strings, maybe that's why..

I am spamming your forum with takes Ben tongue.gif
Ok here is my second take at this lesson. I really like it a lot. Gives me chance to practice my vibrato and bends.
I also corrected the mistakes in the last take I think unsure.gif

Yeah, you fit the phrases in much better this time. That first bend when things kick off and get heavier, needs some vibrato on it to make it sexy wink.gif

That section at 0:41... try playing that with a mini sweep to hit those two notes before the vibrato notes smile.gif That's what I did and it enabled me to focus on hitting the target notes with more attitude because I didn't have to worry about the 2 notes before it.

I've also noticed that you tend to do vibrato upwards ?! Unusual I must say ! biggrin.gif

Thanks Ben smile.gif I will take into account your points while recording for the REC. About the vibrato, yea I do it upwards. It feels more natural for me biggrin.gif

Good to see O back at the Temple with his LP. wink.gif I listened to both takes and the second one sounds much improved already... specially the timing of the fast run. Nice job.

I notice the comment about vibrato and I always start with an upward motion myself. I never really thought about it but that way just feels more natural for me. Now I'm trying out the classical style vibrato from Ben's vibrato series and that is unusual for me.

Thank you Mr-D for nice words smile.gif It is good to be here with the fellow Warriors of the Temple. Even though I wasn't able to participate much lately I always watched your takes and everyone else who posted. They have been fantastic as usual..
