Thank you, sir! I'm glad my tone is improving. Would it be ok to start posting my main video and maybe some sound files of the same take with different presets for your evaluation. That way I can experiment but know that I still have the main track to slay the enemy!
In the mean time here is some lesson 6!

I don't think I did any thing different. I have been trying to pay more attention to my levels, and I did switch guitar cables since my other one died all of a sudden. Perhaps that was a tone issue. Here is a new attempt at lesson 6.

Hey, here is some lesson 8. The past couple posts you said you have come back to them a few times, does that mean you are not quite sure they pass or something else? Thanks.

I usually listen to a given MISSION then try to give it a day and sleep on it if possible and come back to it. On first brush, even with a close listen, it's possible to miss little things. But if I listen, wait, and listen again, my ears can often zero in on very small details that the first session didn't reveal.

I"m being pretty tough on you guys with these MISSIONS in terms of grading, so when you get a new BATTLE BADGE, you really have earned it. As the ranks Increase, I"ve found myself listening even more carefully to each mission. So it's really more about me being tough on the listening. You've been doing just fine on the playing!!!

BIT OF HARD NEWS!!!!!!

Due to some sort of Technical Glitch, my ENTIRE WIKI OF LESSONS HAS VANISHED!!! But fear not, the lessons are also in the lesson notes thread. So until it's resolved, I"ll be pasting a link to the location of your next MISSION in the thread notes. Hopefully those won't all vanish as well wink.gif

ON TO THE DEBRIEF!!!!!

Soldier, I"m really liking where you are heading. Your technique overal is improving. Your tone is improving. I think your guitar might even look a little meaner!!! Your obviously spending time in the woodshed and on the field of battle. Keep it up! It's the key to victory!!

In short.....
SUPER BAAARRRUUUUUUUTALLL KILLL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

MEDAL OF HONOR
1.)Clean Strikes
2.)Tight Hand Synch
3.)Right hand super glued to bridge.

I keep putting up em up and you keep knocking em down!!!!

MISSION 9

Since the WIKI is having some kind of BATTLE FATIGUE, here the tablature for MISSION 9! It's simple to play but hard master at speed and lesson 9 is all about PRECISION/SPEED!!!'

SWEET! Thank you for you comments! I got big plans for my next mission post. I have messed around with my amplitube preset, and I made a drum track to play to. So you can tell if I am actually in time with anything. smile.gif Hopefully it will sound good. I will post it with the original preset and my new settings to compare. Do you have any idea how I can route my audio for vchat so it will work? I use a M Audio fast track interface and last week I tried to run lines from the output on fastrack to the mic input on my computer and select the mic as my audio source but just got a ton of echoy stuff. Selecting the fast track as the source is what I did the first week and gets no signal at all. I hope I explained that ok! Thanks!!!!!

Hey. I am not sure if you saw my post above yet, but here is my mission from this week. Two different patch settings one is the original one you made for me that I Have been using and one is after I messed around with some settings, added another mic, and a seperate compressor that I used with another amplitube patch that I thought really made it sound better. The drums are at 240bpm.

Well played soldier! P.M. Me just in case when you post so I that I don't miss your MISSION WORK!! I like your new patch! The drums are quite spiff but they are just a tad crazy/busy to the point that I can't tell what's going on. Your playing is very good and even but it's hard to tell where it's tied to the beat. Can you make a very simple drum pattern just to record the mission with?

Fight On!!!

Todd

New less crazy drum beat! And I always keep practicing a mission after posting til permission to move to a new one. So this is how I have been practicing it this week it may not be as fast as the one above but my brain seems to play 3 note per string runs in a default of triplets, so I challenged myself to do it as eigth notes which I have had trouble doing. So anyway hope it works. Oh and it's 220 bpm with the modified patch.

Thank you Sir! That means a lot! I look forward to another painfully awesome year!!!!!! I had a new and improved attempt at mission 9 (eigth notes @ 260bpm) already locked and loaded when I noticed my new patch. Since I already got it ready I'll post it just to show I don't stop praticing them after I post it. wink.gif And also I have a video attempt of that INSANE chritmas collab stretch lick.

Well fought Soldier! I can see you are willing to go the EXTRA MILE and shoot the extra round, and slay the extra foe!!!!!!! Your Rank is well deserved Soldier! You are about to break in to the Vaunted DOUBLE DIGIT range!!! Few fighters can claim that honor.

Also, spiffly done on your new SUICIDE PINKY RUN video!! That is NOT an easy lick to play!!!

Todd

Thank you Sir! Double digits will be great, but I ain't stopping til triple digits and the final battle! Although I had to call for backup on this mission as my Warlock seems to be suffering from some PTSD (post traumatic shred disorder). laugh.gif Got a bit of a ground problem and I haven't had time to mess with the wiring. I also messed with my patch I swapped cabs and mics an added a touch more reverb. Hope you like.

Pt 1. 190 BPM

Pt. 2 120 BPM

MISSION DEBRIEF

1.)Nimble Attack on Finger Patrol!!

Thank you SIR! Do you find mic placement and mic type to be similar in the software as in real life? On the last patch I seem to like a dynamic mic right close up in the center of the cone. I was just wondering if experimenting with placement and type in the software has any carry over to what I might like if I tried to mic up an amp in real life.
