Paul Gilbert is pretty good but Dimebag has better style in my oppinion. I just like the fact how he uses so many interesting harmonics and whammy bends while combining melodic values to shredding...

Yeah a dimebag lesson would be a great addition to the site. But I do think when ever a musician dies he or she gets a boat load of credit just for the death of that musician. None the less dimebag is a GREAT guitarist, just a tad bit over-rated.

i think RIP DIME's subscription has run out and he's unable to renew at this time. he said so in a post a while ago.

i'd be down for a dimebag style lesson. i think he was a great guitarist; however, i think some people think he's a little TOO good, probably because of how he is now idolized due to his death (which was a very sad thing). kinda like kurt cobain jimi hendrix etc BUT that's not a bad thing i think all of those artists were amazing at what they did so YEAH i SIGN

why not? he wasnt my favorite, but he did have a style worth studying. its just one lesson, its not like we have to devote the entire site to the guy. i wouldnt mind having a few of his riffs/licks under my belt.

The thing i like about dime was he had a big heart and he was just a normal, down to earth guy. fame never got to him, he always remembered where he came from. If I ever get into the music business (god Help me), i hope it never goes to my head either. but anyway, Signed, Colin Kauffman

yeah I bought Dimevision 1: thats the fun i have, he was so down to earth and was nice to everybody, unlike the metal stereotype I get here(KANSAS) where every one is mean and worship satan, he was an awesome guy and an awesome guitar player. R.I.P man

There are loads of band with awesome riffs out there so i don't see what's so special about Dimebag's riffs. unsure.gif Personally Rusty Cooley and Outworld have much more powerful songs than Dimebag IMO.

They definatly do ,even though i prefer Phil of pantera over there singer anyday. Also there isnt any other band out there that played just like Dimebag he did his own thing and was such a cool dude.
