High Ak Rich -- you are RICH of Nature !
Beautiful landscape Wow !
Alaska is a place i have not been yet but still got in mind .
One big problem right now is to travel with my dog when there is to use a plane - it is possible of course
but a torture for the dog and often animals die on board in the package room .
A friend of my family just been there and made it with a big camping mobile - what pictures
Greetings to Alaska !
Thanks Dieter! Glad you enjoyed the Pics, yeah thats one thing we see alot of up here in the summer is motorhomes.
I too would be leary of putting my dog on a plane for such a long fight, but if you ever get up this way I would love to extend an invitation to stop by for a visit to share adventure stories and perhaps have a small adventure of our own.

wow, ak rich!!
alaska was my once in a lifetime trip after i finsihed university!!!
what a wonderful place to be.
I always dream of getting back there with my whole family but I will have to wait until my children are a little bit older...
there were so many great moments..driving up to prudhoe bay in the arctic circle, going with a boat along the aleut islands and most unforgettable: kayaking around the coast near juneau when some grey whales came to the surface for breathing just a few meters away from our kayak.....
I always thought that living there is a gift!
when I see your pictures I can´t wait to come back there again!!
so, take care of alska and its nature, cause I will be coming back!!!
Thanks Wollace, I see you have already had a taste of the Alaska experiance, that kayaking adventure sounds awesome ! As long as I have been here I have yet to explore the inside passage or coastal areas around Juneau but I do plan on changing that
And driving up the Dalton highway to Prudhoe Bay? now That is a road trip!, I have been to the Northern coast myself but I took a fight
. I went up to Point Barrow to play music for a weekend at the Dry Haul, They call it the Dry Haul because Alchoholic beverages cannot be bought or sold there in Barrow. And the only guys I know that go out and around the Aleutians are hardcore fisherman types altho I would'nt mind exploring them as well
Alaska is a big place and for the most part still very wild and there are a million adventures to be had.
Also the invitation I extended to Dieter is extended to you as well or any of you guys and gals for that matter , we would love to have you
Also we have a saying here in Alaska that once you have been here and you have to leave, you are destined to return. So when you say you are comming back , I have no doubts
And we will definately take care of it for you untill you can make it back and then some.

Those pics are incredible !!!
And somebody living in the land of ice and snow has no business being as tanned as that !
What can I say Ben, I love to get outdoors and contrary to what people may think we actually have had some great summers up here and well.. I have always tanned very dark, I went to Hawaii one summer and tourists were asking me for directions as if I was a local
And again If any of you guys and gals are coming this way definately give me a heads up so that perhaps we can at least meet and maybe even have an adventure of our own.
And now as I get to the bottom of this post I see that I neglected to quote Cos but I didnt forget about ya man!
I am glad I could provide some inspiration to get out into nature more yourself. It really is a great thing to do isn't it? I always feel so refreshed durring and after these kinds of trips into the great outdoors, well... once I get over being tired from them anyways
. Work hard and play harder!!
