Bushido Task 38: https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/ls/rock_solo_nr3dmajor/

It is my pleasure to pick this weeks task. I decided on a challenging modren rock solo for you!

It has some sliding licks, bending and some short AP runs. Besides that, this lesson has some ear-catching hooks and it sounds like a blast to play.

I hope you enjoy this lesson. Looking forward to some great takes! smile.gif

Deadline is Oct. 26th... or you may find your guitar has a new custom paint job ph34r.gif

ohmy.gif this was shocking, first thing I saw when I opened the thread was this guitar, so my 1st thought was it is related to the task, not the punishment...

Nice one Btrain. What lick did you find the hardest? Those slides are killers for me. Hopefully get somthing up tonight.
It's a pity you missed out on a new custom spray job! biggrin.gif

Man! That was awesome! Still struggling with making a decent take. And that "fast" AP run is way out of my reach tongue.gif

Great take A-Man. I know how you feel about needing to start them earlier. I only managed to start learning the Warrior Task yesterday !! tongue.gif

I would say it's really good, overall. In some places you're just a little bit ahead of the beat and the alternate picking could be tightened up but there's always something isn't there ? wink.gif

Well done, you get a Donut !

Ok uploading completed. Degroot this was a tough assigment but good one! ohmy.gif

Yeah I found those slides hard and some of the timing took abit of time to get right (not saying my execution is amazing). I've still got work to do on bends apart from everything else I guess.

So Ben I guess we'll be getting a nice easy one for next week? rolleyes.gif

Hail Brother Zoom !

Wow, this has to be possibly the best I've seen and heard from you... what do you think, would you agree ?

Really good control on those bends and vibrato.. and your co ordination has improved immensely.. very impressed, Australian One ! smile.gif

Although.. I'm very sorry to say... you miss out on the Justin Bieber paint job. So close yet so far.. sad.gif

Cheers Ben

Yeah I'm pretty happy with my take. I said last week I was going to try harder and so I put alot of effort into this one.
I'm determined to get my timing and bends tighter and intune. biggrin.gif

yaay first donut biggrin.gif

@ zoom: good take,
yep the sliding part was the most challenging for me, too.
And as I said, might just need some more time... some parts on my take were still quite half assed (like the ending... while recording this I was always like "yeah got through the slides quite well, now dare you not to mess up the rest")
also need to improve my bending stuff (double bend things and similar)
Couldn't really do the fast release thing before the unison tone on the b-string in the last lick as you did, so I tried my best to get some clean unison bend by bending both strings (Floyd Rose for the win biggrin.gif)

Also took some time watching the lesson vid to get a feeling for how he timed much of the stuff (e.g. did that AP run just like you for a while, until I saw that it actually starts a bit later, directly on the beat)
