> IS THAT YOUR MAMA?

Nope didn't think so either. We all know parents don't get this.

I can show you how to be the virtuoso your folks could only dream about, but I first need your help:

* Pm me and I will show you where to start. I am online every day and I will help you out directly!

* Join my mentoring program. I will customize your learning experience in a way you haven't experienced before. We will have regular contact so that you can remain inspired every day and eventually reach a new level.

* Join my next video chat! GMC startpage holds a video chat schedule. We always cover a lot of ground and have fun. Remember that you don't need any previous knowledge, and you can be passive in the chat.

* Jam with me - you will find active collabs here.

* Post a topic on this board, guitar related or not - doesn't matter! You will find that chatting with instructors boosts your motivation to practice.

* You haven't missed my latest video lessons, have you?

* Oh and did you know that to become a killer guitarist you just need to focus on one thing? Everything
else is secondary. Pm me and I will explain.

Howdy amigos!

I think it's time for a video collab this month, right? biggrin.gif

I was thinking that since there's a lot of you asking about modes, we could work together on a collab based on the 'Modes of the Rising Sun' backing track!

That being said, here's the deal:

Take the backing track attached in this post and select your favorite part. Come up with your cool personal improvised lead over that part, by trying to emphasize the mode fitting best over it or simply some lines which sound good!

For a bit of help, here's how the modal progression are being presented in the track:

First part - Dorian, Aeolian, Harmonic minor
Second part - Phygian and Harmonic minor
Third part - Lydian and Ionian
Final part - Mixolydian

Check out each progression in the lesson -> https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/ls/Modes-Of-The-Rising-Sun/ and see what note choice would suit you best.

Material format:

Audio - mp3 or wav
Video - mp4

Let's rock!

Thank you Dieter! smile.gif If we continue your journey through the modes in your thread, you will develop a keen ear for selecting notes which will fit chords in a very exquisite and subtle way wink.gif

Let's keep working on that, shall we?

I was kind of thinking of sticking to the G ionian, and then experminenting switching to some Lydain, Dorian and Harmonic Minor..
If that is OK smile.gif

Or are you supposed to do the same switches you did in the vid?

Howdy Erik! You can do whatever you want mate - no barriers biggrin.gif I want to see your creativity at work and if possible point out the modes by emphasizing on the right notes - the choice is entirely yours!

Hey man! Thanks for the take! The note choice is good, but your flow could be improved a bit wink.gif Time will bring things together - the more you improvise and focus on becoming coherent, the better you will become. Please send me the WAV. file with the guitar only smile.gif Thank you!!
