I am a bass player, so a lot of the techniques used on guitar are slightly more difficult for me, with the longer scale length and all. But it's my goal to be able to shred like a guitar player, but on bass. When I was browsing the internet for on-line guitar lesson sites, the guy that inspired me the sign up at was Lian Gerbino. His style, energy, musical brutality and humorous nature are spot on as far as I'm concerned. I've attempted, feebly, the majority of his lessons. However I haven't seen anything new from him in quite a while. I also subscribe to Mr. Higgins and Mr. Leopardi, who are both excellent metal players and from whom I have learned a great deal, and to whom I mean no disrespect when I say...where's Lian?

Ahah I'm asking this question everyday, his style is so awesome !

That video made me start playing guitar (and subscribe to GMC), and listen to Amon Amarth smile.gif

I think he is touring with his band Tersivel. But such as you I miss him. He has to come back, he hasn't finished his series yet biggrin.gif

Hi Wayne, Lian doesn't actively work at GMC any more and I guess Tersivel takes up most of his time. He definitely kicks ass and has thankfully built up a massive wealth of great material which we can still see smile.gif
