Based on my thread:

I thought if there could be some good exercises so beginners like me stops wonder why people play an instrument which could give great pain and suddenly stops playing.

Just a thought!

Firstly you said you got the wrist pain in while playing the first beginner lesson which is the POWER CHORD LESSON.

Power chords sound great and are easy to play but they sometimes tend to cause a wrist ache. I also used to have it when i first started power chords but later on it left. So it is normal initially.

If youve been practing power chords for a long time then i could say you have a wrist problem.

Id suggest you see a doctor to check if everything is ok.

For a good warm up i just alternate pick 1234 down and up the string from SLOW to FAST.

Like sports you need to warm up before playing guitar.

Hope everything is ok!

Warm ups are essential i really can't do anything without them, stretching is also key. While we are at the topic, what is everyones opinions of those hand strengtheners, are they a good idea? okay for carrying around in your school bag and using when your bored or are they something to use on occasion?
