> Rules

Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Original lesson: Picking Hand Basics by Ben Higgins

Hello ! I just felt to make a lesson record so here it is . Movie is not exactly in synchrony with the sound clip. With iMovie and Garageband always a fight for me :) Dieter

You did a great job and it is nice too see you submitting new rec takes! You are rushing every first and second notes and than locking in with the tempo I would suggest to work on this lesson a little bit more at a slower tempo so your right hand is not speeding up! I know you can make it sound perfect just keep working on it! smile.gif

Dieter this is a big improvement ! Well done. As Alex noted, there's still some timing fluctuations but that's ok because you're getting the right idea with the different note speeds. I'm interested to know what made the difference to you ? smile.gif

Hey Dieter! I see progress with you every time! This is a good effort and as the guys have said, take some more time to work on your timing and the lengths of the notes. Also, if you could tap your foot while playing this (slowly at first!) you could get some extra support!
