Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Original lesson: Lydian Dominant Spice by David Wallimann

First attempt at covering this, and first REC post :) I apologize for the bad quaity... I'm a broke college student stuck with bad recording gear and a crappy laptop webcam :)

Hi Andrew, good to see you grabbing the bull by the horns and jumping in to the REC Zone. The cam quality ain't so bad.. it's like a low budget horror movie cool.gif

Ok.. shapes were pretty good. Just needs some work on reaching a more precise bending pitch and a touch of work on hand synchronisation I think.

Well done !

Hi mate! It's a great decision to start posting REC takes! Well done! The video quality is ok for REC, maybe you could add a bit more lightning but we can see your hands and guitar. wink.gif Your take is good, it needs some more work , as Ben said, to adjust some details a bit, to make the bends and also some licks that combine picking and legato sound tighter.

I hope to see more of your takes! Keep on the good job! smile.gif

Howdy man! Welcome to the REC zone! Just to sum up what the guys have already pointed out - a little more practicing with this lesson will provide a better result. Take care on the pitch when bending and focus on the details generally!

Keep rocking man!

Your take was very good! Your cameras fine an quality wasn't bad at all!
The playing was well done you just need to work on your bends a little bit more to get it to a perfect pitch! Try practicing bends only and get use to a pitch after that you will be able to play the whole piece without any bending issues! 8 from me!
P.S. I am glad you are doing REC takes this way you can get a feedback from all instructors and your progress will skyrocket!!!
