First off, I really want that guitar he has in this vid! L.A. Custom Shop Ibby 7 String, flame top, floyd, it's all there. Not everyones cup of tea, but I"d give half my blood for it.

Anyhoo, check out this short clip of his thumb slapping technique on guitar. Its almost like doing a "Victor Wooten thing" on a 7 string. He does it on his 8 as well in other bits smile.gif

Its really cool to see this bass technique making its way to guitar!
I think if done right it can sound as cool as on the bass! smile.gif

I think your correct! It sounded pretty bad when I tried it, but then again I"m not Tosin smile.gif I can see how I could eventually get it better. It's a really cool technique!

He makes is sound really cool! Some other player that I saw doing this are Guthrie Govan and Buckethead.

it's starting to get inorporated in to more styles and by more players. I love it when new bits that I would not have thought of enter the repetoire!
