> Rules

Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Original lesson: Linear Shred Zone by Ben Higgins

Hi Ben, thanks for this lesson, I learnt this and recorded it yesterday, it's not perfect but I'm excited that I can now make these videos in garageband so I'm posting it even though I need more practice with it, as I was uploading this I noticed you don't lift your index finger off the fretboard that much which makes sense for anchor and accuracy. I will do another take when I get a chance and polish it up but for now here is my start. \m/

When your fingers bleed you're getting somewhere

Hey mate! All you need is a little more patience and slow practicing to get this top level! You are on the right path and as Ben said - a little more polishing and tightening will be the thing. Keep up the good work!

You did a very good job! I agree with other instructors and would suggest to practice this lesson for a little bit more at a slower tempo! You are almost there!
