> Rules

Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Hi Bill! This is a good take! The timing and bending are perfect! The two things that I would improve here are:

+Adding vibrato
+Trying to get a closer tone (more drive & sustain)

Keep on working hard! smile.gif

Hi Bill, this is quite a leap up in terms of overall guitar playing and you've risen to the occasion really well !

I would have said that the timing could be improved in following the original phrases.. it seems they start a bit late ? But it's quite a hard lesson to follow in regards to how the phrases are timed so I could be wrong here, apologies if so !

As Gab said, try to go for a driven tone if you can.. although your gear might not allow it. Adding some vibrato to notes can be one of your next goals too smile.gif

Nice work !!

Hello Sir! Another great take coming from you, I see biggrin.gif Well, indeed, follow the advices given by the guys and get a tone with a little more gain, in order to obtain the smooth feel of Santana's playing.

Keep up the good work!
