YNGWIE IS AWESOME, even though he may be a prick sometimes. Maybe he has a reason for it. I mean he is an amazing guitarist!!

But even though he has amazing skills at the guitar. That still doesnt give him the right to be a prick some others. Maybe to a few guitarists or something, but not his wife, or anybody else thats not in the music business!! And all we see of him is the bad, well except for his playing, but maybe he had a reason to be a prick. You know the media can do that to people. Maybe hes really not like all that media bull. Maybe hes a really nice guy who has a short temper, and people like to piss him off!!

in his biography it says that he was a prick at childhood too, and that was another reason why he was dropped of the school.

Yeah haha, but hes not the only one. Andy Timmons, a little bit of satch, and Vai, and alos a little bit of Rusty Cooley, but its mostly Yngwie in 1st, Paul Gilbert in 2nd, and Andy in 3rd, hmm well andy and Paul are tied really. But Ynwgie i believe would whoop them all.

Rusty can kick Yngwie's ass all the way and he is still not a prick. Rusty in my opinion is the coolest shredder out there. He has monster skills comparing to Malmsteen and other so called "shredders" and he is still a very nice guy!! That's how it should be!

So? He was not THE ONLY influence. Shawn Lane was much bigger influence for Rusty than Yngwie.
But anyway....Rusty is one level higher than Yngwie. And that's totally natural as playing skills increase with every upcoming generation of players.

I just listened to bits and pieces from his self entitled album and it's clear Yngwie is a bigger influence for Rusty than Shawn Lane.

Yngwies sound is far better though in my taste.

I am listening to that album every day and honestly i don't see one thing of Yngwie's playing there. I DID listen to Yngwies albums and i have some of his live concerts and i still can't connect Rusty and Yngwie by their playing or music.

And concerning sound: listen to Outworld to hear the real Rusty's sound. The self entitled album was recorded in his room with almost no recording equipment so you can't judge about his sound based on that.
