i think the best distortion pedal is th boss ds-1 pedal w/ keeley mod

my gear :
gibson sg standard ebony finish
roland 30 cube amp
boss ds-1 ultra mod pedal
crybaby 535(i think)
very hard dunlop picks
ernie ball super light strings (the pink package)
and some short skinny fingers attached to my hand

diamond pedals are amazing... so I'd have to go with them since they're true bypass and you can drop out the mids and turn it into a fuzz face which is pretty cool... but for the price I'd have to say Digitech Grunge is pretty impressive... also if you're into blues at all the Boss BD-2 is a good buy

I think that it depends on the style you use to play. The boss ds-1 is a great distortion pedal. I like the vissual sound distortion pedals (Routte 66 and Jekyll & Hyde).
