> Rules

Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Original lesson: Ballad & Blues II by Piotr Kaczor

Happy new year everyone! I had some extra time this week to put this REC take together. We're kind of snowed in here in northern Nevada so I'm getting a good start on the new year with lots of guitar practice. I'm really loving the modern blues these days. Anyway, I hope you enjoy this take. See you in the forums.

Howdy mate! Glad to see another great take from a fellow PRS user! I think you did a great job - good ensemble playing and great tone, but you still have to focus on some small details - such as the timing on the lick around 01:27 and it'll bring that 10 flying your way wink.gif

Hi mate! Good take! I like your tone and your attitude on this one. As Cosmin said, there are some details like timing and vibrato that could be adjusted to have a top level take, but it's really good by the way. Keep on the good job!

Nothing to add smile.gif Like guys said - some details to improve and it will be a perfect take! I like your tone and phrasing - really great playing, mate!
