Hey guys,

I bought a new mac for christmas and i've been having a problem installing the gearbox software. It doesn't recognize the USB connection, I've been checking the Line 6 forums but so far haven't found a solution. Is someone having the same problem with MAC OS Lion?

If anyone has a solution I would appreciate it, don't want to buy a new audio interface.

Thanks a lot guys.

Sadly there are many 64/32 bit driver issues still being worked out with various vendors. This could be one of those. You can force your mac to boot in 32 mode (I have to do this to use my Tascam interface since there are not 64 bit drivers for it yet)

Here is a link with info.

Hi - I'm on iMac OSX Lion 10.7.5 and my UX2 interface works. Try going to line6 website and downloading the latest drivers for the device. You need to download the version which first installs drivers (so that unit works) and then gearbox software it should work unless its some weird issue with latest Macs.

I use a couple of Line6 inputs too on a new iMac. Have you downloaded Line 6 Monkey yet? Download that and it will make sure all your drivers, software, etc. are up to date and functional. The unit you have may need a new piece of firmware to work on the newer Mac.
