Hey guys!! Inspired by the cool thread by Cosmin where you are creating a Groove, I had the cool idea of trying something new that I'm sure will end in a great composition! And maybe a youtube video? biggrin.gif

The idea is that each of as records a melody of 4 measures over the following backing track, but we have to be very organized to do this cool and fluently. I recorded the first melody, if you want to be the next GMC:er that adds a melody you must say: "I'm recording my melody right now!", download the files from Soundcloud that has my melody, record your melody and upload the new file.... Please don't take more than 5/10 minutes to record the solo so you just have to say the magic phrase once you really know what you are going to play. (maybe once you have it recorded!).

Is this clear?? You can participate all the times that you want so we could be creating a very big song! biggrin.gif

The backing is in E minor so you can use E minor scale and E Pentatonic minor.

This is the backing and my first melody:

Who is in? Who is recording a melody right now???

Download the file from here: Attached File  Connecting_Melodies.mp3 ( 17.08MB ) Number of downloads: 84

You have to download my take, record yours after mine and upload a new mix here. Does it make sense?

Sounds cool indeed!
But do we need to upload the new mix thanks to soundcloud or are there other alternatives?
