I'm not looking for anything fancy, I use v picks for my electric and that's fine I don't mind ordering directly from Vini in TN.

But since I lost my tortoiseshell pick that I've been using for about 10 years of more, I'm pretty lost on my acoustic. I remember the best pick I tried was the Clayton Ultem series, but I'm not sure whether I want .94, 1.04 or 1.2 I can't find anywhere just to get a few to try out so I can then buy in bulk.

yes i realise a pack of 12 doesn't cost much but that's not the point. the point is I want to rant lol

HAHA, LEGENDARY POST... hard to get to some non pointless thread through all of these cool.gif

Btw, what's wrong with snowing and freezing cold circumstances, it's still better then the country where's face melting hot in the summer, yet freezing cold (without snow) during the winter tongue.gif

Well said! It also S**KS living in a country where you can't even get a lower receiver for your AR-15 (just ask mudbone!) cause everyone has gone crazy buying weapons thinking it's gonna get more difficult really soon to get them.

ROFL!!! No, Todd meant to say fire arms. It's a hobby much like guitars. Oh, and we no longer have Indians. We have Native Americans. So we would not be able to play that game anymore. sad.gif

Guess we'll have to play Cowboys from Hell on our guitars...

Yeah - I get your pain. I'm actually allergic to hearing famous words in the music stores around here : "We can order it" smile.gif
But, I want it NOW (and I want to try it out first)?! smile.gif If I wanted to order it, I would do it myself online.

With (a complete) one of these we can get you a lifetime of those picks.

Seriously though, I've tried these and I really like them ...
http://www.stringsandbeyond.com/jopefatutogu.html
http://compare.ebay.com/like/370578449799?...es&var=sbar
https://artisanguitars.com/john-pearse-fast...se-shell-picks/
The only real tortoise shell pick I have is thin (I use extra heavy) so it's difficult to compare.

I can order them from Amazon but in packs of 12 for €10 +shipping I want to try 3 different thicknesses to see which is right for me, so it all adds up to an fairly expensive purchase rather than a cheap experiment.

It sucks living in a medium sized European country.
That is all.
Carry on.

Unless you're a goth, in which case it sucks living. Full stop.
