Well, there are three bands from my hometown Münster that are well (or somewhat) known and they rock!

H-Blockx: Formed in the 90's, they were a typical crossover band. Nowadays they are more of a hard rock band, but this song "Move" is from their early days. Pretty cool to see the Rock am Ring crowd jumping biggrin.gif

Donots, technically from a small town near Münster, but the guys all live in Münster and the singer lived next to me in 2010, before I moved to the southwest of Germany laugh.gif
Song starts at 1:20

Neara, these are becoming bigger at the moment, and their live shows are awesome!

I think this is the best band in our area. I've known a couple of the guys for years, and the drummer is the drummer from my last band. They're called Kelen Heller.

This video really doesn't do them justice.

You can here that song better (Never Lived) on this page if interested...

Cool thread Gabriel, smile.gif I have found a few videos of bands that came out of Alaska.

36 Crazy Fists

Static Cycle

And last but not least Medicine Dream, founded and fronted by an old friend of mine Paul Pike, I used run sound and lights for his cover band back in the 90's. Paul is also a great guitar player as well as a good singer.

We don't really have a direct band here. But we have some singer that got famous I think...

My state has a crap ton of bands: Marilyn Manson, Devo, Joe Walsh and James Gang, Michael Stanley, Tim "The Ripper" Owens (Has a restaurant an hour away from me as well.) , Bone Thugs N Harmony, Chimaira, Mushroomhead. All those are about an hour drive from where my house is.

Some local no-named bands that are pretty good.

Found these guys from a guy at work who does photo shoots for them.

Guitarist was like 2 grade above me when I was in grade school. The drummer is a local teacher for visual arts.

Yeah, I've seen In Vain and Guardians. Guardians were great live, they warmed up for JORN. Great warm-up band that played some judas priest and maiden classics to get the crowd going, was fun!
In Vain are playing the Inferno festival in march, going to see them there, along with Moonspell actually, and lots of others.

Mr Rich! I am a big fan of 36 Crazyfists biggrin.gif

In my case - well, I like 2 bands - one of them with whom Days of Confusion activates in that band group - The Almighty Three

..and the other one would be Romania's most famous modern rock band - Vita de Vie, in which one of my mates from Days of Confusion is also playing guitar.

The Norwegian metal scene is extremely strong, I like a lot of bands from there. Personal favorites: Pagan's Mind from Skien.

Cool stuff! Very close to the latest Maiden albums!

For metalheads I would like to recommend this cool Argentinean band that sounds very European:
