I got a good friend who owns the Carbon Copy - thanks for reminding me biggrin.gif But that Echo Park - NO SIR! I had my fill with that one! The worst thing I played in a live gig situation!

I haven't had the opportunity to use the Echo Park live, yet. May I ask what happened?

Well, the thing is that in order for it to be activated, it is not enough to step on it, but you have to step hard on it, so that you may hear a click that activates the pedal - and that click took ages to be triggered - sometimes I have a lot of switching to take care of while running around onstage and I need a pedal that delivers fast effective action - so I guess you can feel my pain laugh.gif

The Carbon Copy is a very good pedal.
This one has more control over the 'modulation' and is the same price ... http://malekkoheavyindustry.com/product/ekko-616-mkii/ IMO the delays sound better too and you have you have the choice of running it either 'true by-pass' or buffered. *It's also very red.

"Obsolete" is a relative term smile.gif If you have a device that performs a function well, if they make a new version, is the old one "Obsolete"? smile.gif I still have my GNX 3 fx pedal, since I still like the tones and it's been obsolete for 10 years. I wouldn't let that keep you from embracing technology. The only constant is change as they say, so technology like many things is a moving target. But I focus on the results more than anything else, so if a plugin, or bit of gear works for me I"ll keep using it. I think you may be just a bit pensive about diving in to technology in general which is understandable of course. It can be a bit of a jungle to navigate. I"d stay start small and cheap. Don't over spend or over commit to any one technology. Perhaps start with your phone. Android is great OS and IK multimedia fully supports it so grab a couple of apps and maybe get an audio Interface for your phone from IK multimedia. Bein able to have a full rig in your pocket, is a powerful thing. smile.gif

Looks like the TCs are getting a lot of good feedback and I just remembered I have about 6 meters of George L cable which I WILL turn into patch cables biggrin.gif Still have to buy those easy mounting jacks, how were they called though?

That's one of my problems man laugh.gif it feels that, if I get one of these, it will be obsolete the next minute laugh.gif And I ask myself - now what?

You are very right Todd - dynamics are characterizing the age in which we live in and change is the only constant. I guess that starting out with my phone would be an interesting idea... smile.gif I'll ponder over the link you have sent me!

My favorite delay pedal used to be Strymon Brigadier, and it probably is one of the best if not the best delay pedal to date. Amazing little box of magic smile.gif

However, lately I've been getting more joy out of the Diamond Memory Lane Jr., so my vote goes to this smile.gif

Check them out, you can get some amazing results from both!

Honorable mentions: Strymon El Capistan, Strymon Timeline, DLS EchoTAP, Mad Professor Deep Blue Delay, Empress Superdelay & Eventide Timefactor.

Aside from the Eventide Time Factor, of which I heard before and the Mad Professor, everybody seems to revere the Strymon pedals smile.gif I've never heard about these and also, it seems like there's a huge variety of pedals manufacturers out there...

I was thinking about getting to visit the Thomann shop in Germany - that place has it all, doesn't it? And you can spend days and days testing things biggrin.gif

I hear Malekko Echo 600 in action and it sounded amazing - very natural and organic sound. Heard good things about Carbon copy too - people say its a bit cold sounding though?

One interesting pedal I heard so many times in action which is probably underrated is Boss DD-20 - some really cool delay sounds can be got from it! smile.gif
