Hey mate, I think it has flow and I like the tone, BUT smile.gif you should also focus on creating a recurrent theme, because at the end I know it gave me a good vibe but, I can't remember anything out of it.

Yeah I feel the same. I rush to put it together in one night cause I am unable to record for this week and wanted to get it done and it ended up being one big solo basically but Ill go back and work on it some more when I can smile.gif

Sounds awesome to me! biggrin.gif But still, its not catchy I'm afraid. Remember; less is more. Try not to make the lead parts long and not catchy smile.gif then again, be careful not to make your song too repetitive.

Nice ideas there! I enjoyed your playing on this one. I also agree with Cosmin about the individual ideas, I think that you could work a bit more on the theme, define more the sections (verse / chorus) to get a catchier track. By the way this is very promising!
Keep on sharing your music with us! Thanks. smile.gif

How about creating a few theme ideas from the song, sharing with us all and then we can see which one is the catchiest? biggrin.gif Let the listeners be your catchiness barometer on this one - deal?

Thanks guys, I have a couple of ideas but you will have to wait till next week when I get my recording stuff back. Just so you guys know, Im going to be using these for an EP I will be using for my college course, I have another song I posted here before I know a couple of you heard but Ill let you hear it again.

I need feed back for my course anyway so this is great for quotes and peoples opinions smile.gif

This is the first one, I prefer this one but I really need to work on the backing and solo in particular but I have a few months to get it all done so should be fine smile.gif

Hey mate - this one is much better, because you caught my attention with a theme and I can remember it after closing down the link smile.gif

There are a few unwanted noises at some point - such as 02:19 - or was that intended?

You have a very interesting idea (demo song ), but pay attention to the melody line. Progression is cool and I wouldn't change anything there ! Rather analyze chords and attempt to fresh up that Major scale, which in this form sounds more like up and down exercise..
Compose the main theme, as the starting point, and then slowly build phrases and harmonic transition ! Simple as a song - verse, bridge, chorus..and again.. wink.gif

Cosmin - Yeah that is intended, its an open low E which is part of the melody but when I play it I feel I hit it to hard causing it to ring out a bit to much and a bit to loud. Its one of the main parts which bothers me about it and bothered me a bit when I was recording it but its something I should be able to fix easily as well as the mistakes with the chords.

Sinisa - That how I planned to write it. There is one or two parts there which I might keep for melody but I guess I'll just have to wait and see what happens when I write it.

I actually prefer the chords in the demo song to the ones in Another Day which makes me think that the demo has more potential but then again Another Day came from more meaningful/personal stuff so I connected to it more when writing it. Hence why it has a name and the demo doesn't.

Hehe, well if you are conscious of it, that's very good - now the question is, when can we hear the next version? smile.gif

Congrats! Completing a song can be like pulling teeth, but in a good way smile.gif It's a real accomplishment to complete an entire tune, wirtten, mixed, and posted. And you get better with each one you'll do!

This tune is really enjoyable, well done! It's relaxed and musical. Cosmin has a very good point about melody/theme though. When building a tune, even when building a solo, try to construct around the main melody/theme and keep coming back to that almost like a chorus/refrain. That way people know where they are in a song and which song it is, etc. Just adding a bit of structure goes a long way smile.gif

Todd
