Hi

I bought a Schecter Hellraiser FR just after christmas and couple of the strings have slightly went out of tune. Whats the easiest way to tune these strings. Sorry if it is a stupid question its my first guitar with a Floyd Rose.

Cheers Sean

Maybe it can be solved with the fine tuners...?? We had a lot of questions and threads about the FR tuning, string changing ...

Here's some info and instructions from FR ...good luck with it! wink.gif

you are probably going to have to spend some time with it as there is a learning curve, but you can start here

Have you checked the fine tuners on the floyd rose bridge?

I for one, had a period when my main guitars had floyd rose bridges and I had to be quick about changing strings.

Usually, because I wanted to clean the floyd, I would remove all the strings and then re-calibrate the bridge - you must learn how to do that, otherwise it will be either too tensioned or too loose.

It needs the proper amount of tension so that it will stay parallel to the guitar body and have the strings in tune. Check out the video in the post above and let me know if there are questions still wink.gif

Thanks for the messages everyone. Am going to leave it to the weekend to try and have a go at it when I have more time. I watched a few videos on tuning floyd rose guitars before I bought the guitar and knew it will take a bit of practice to get used to it.Hopefully I don't get too frustrated.

Cheers Sean
