Wassup All,

Any 5150 user's out there? Wanna share settings and or tube replacement ideas?

I've had mine for a year now and love it... but it's got limitations.

I mostly play the rhythm channel with the crunch switch engaged for my dirt. I'll roll the volume back for a clean...not very clean though. And use the over the top Lead channel for to scorch the earth... haha.

I wish the crunch was footswitchable ( i know that the 5150 II is)

FJA has a bunch of mods available, like turning the amp into a 3 channel and other clarity mods.

Who's got one? I wanna hear about it biggrin.gif

I have the cabs but not the head. I actually prefered the VK 100 to the 5150 but love the 5150 III

DC DOES NOT EQUAL OUTPUT. Dc is a resistance value and that is all. It WILL NOT tell you what it will sound like, it WILL NOT make you sound like another player.

We used to play tricks on people when doing pup demos over at WB. People thought the VK was a freaking plxi all the tme. Crazy. The 5150 III is a freaking beast. 3 channels and the red is a screamer.

THat's cool, i'd like to see those Vids. I'm considering sending my 5150 to Jerry at FJA mods and getting his 3 channel mod.
