I dont know many people who use a chorus/flanger pedal, but i got one today, and I must say. I like it a lot. It can add some real flavor to some of your playing. Espcially with some distortion, but dont get wrong. Its not good for every type of playing. Such as blues.
But just wondering if anybody used one!!! Heres the link to the one i have!! http://www.dolphinmusic.co.uk/shop_image/p...8bc138e84a0.jpg -------------------- “Obey the principles without being bound by them.”

And also note. If you dont use one. Tell me why you dont?? Why do you think it sucks, and all thoughs other goodies !! Well I don't have a pedal but I use the chorus in my pod on some patches - its main use is to fatten up a lead sound, and give it some real stero presence - it makes the sound float across the speakers instead of being nailed to one place. I alos use it in the occasional clean sound. -------------------- Check out my Instructor profile

I personally find the most use for it with clean picking or lead parts when you want to add depth and a little ambiance to the sound. Like all effects I'd say use in moderation; more than one song has been killed via over-liberal effect useage, but within that scope Chorus is brilliant. As for Flangers I've got to be honest and say I've never really used one in my own playing, I have one build into the board and I've messed about with it but it is something that I think is even more "specialist" than chorus, vary rarly you hear a track and that can sound like a really good effect. I guess that like all other elements of playing effects are a bit of an art, get them right and they enrich your sound and add depth and distiction, get them wrong and they mute your skills and make nasty noises. |
