Now, regarding the Jem/Bags fiasco ... there are those that will use your addiction against you, feed it to get what they want. Let my experience be an example to you, and be careful!

Hmmm.... Now that I get to think of it. When I got my Hughes and Kettner amp + 412 cabinet right before my wife had both the bathroom and kitchen done. To me both rooms were already functional so it wasn't for me. My stuff costed about 3% of her total, spite that I was happy and she managed to apply guilt since I bought so expensive "toys".
Now we're rebuilding the garage into bedroom, closet, bathroom with sauna and also the terrace and setting up a garden shed... all for her. Oh boy oh boy, I wonder what 3% goodies awaits me when all her stuff is done... perhaps an Elmwood amp wub.gif and not to forget, guilt - but that comes for free :lol *rubs hands*

laugh.gif I see you changed your avatar, new darling in the house.

Oh my, oh my oh my. You can see it happen to others but you are both so blind you cant see when you have fallen for it yourselfs. I sthat something that comes with higher ranks on GMC? HAHA! So blind, so blind.

I'm hooked on a Strat De Luxe now, mexican one. I'll probably get that one. I would have borrowed it tonight to really try it out and with my own gear. Have to wait a few days though. I have to assemble our new bookshelf and sofa. Then I still have some work left on the lawn. We dug it up and are completely redoing our garden.

well, as you see, one gets real objective advise about gear on this forum. let's see, someone named "jackson-ripper", what will he recommend? but now you know. strats, ibanez, jackson, gibson, fender with a humbuck, fender without a humbuck, that is what you should get.

I will say I agree with Andrew, if you do get a strat, get the basic one. You can mod it if you want.

Yeah, thanks. I filter everything regarding to that. Or maybe normalize it, fits better smile.gif Still, I value gmc's opinions as a contrast to salespeople or online reviews. Nothing is perfect and I rather find out what people consider as weaknesses and take them into account before I buy, than finding out afterwards.

yesh, i think you really have to look hard, there is so much bias, which is to be expected. i think my dog is the best dog in the world. doubt everybody would like a dog that barks at them and throws cat cushions around if i don't give him his favorite dog treat after he eats his dinner. but i think he is the best. people tend often think whatever they like or have is the best. probably human nature.

It definately is - its a psychological protection mechanism (for real) - I read in New Scientist I think, that once someone has commited in their mind to a course of action, or a posesion, they become far less critical of it.

What does this mean? Take the positives and learn from them, and assume that anything they don't mention is a negative smile.gif

some hunters will argue that Winchester is the best rifle, nothing shoots like a Winchester. And others say no, Remington is the gun you want. And so on and so on. But you will hear a few who say "all those are good rifles, and a good shooter will hit the mark with any of them."
