Have you ever sold a guitar and then regretted it?
Looking back now - I really regret selling my first bass. I have played some awesome gigs on it and had some of the best times ever playing it (first gigs, recordings etc). It was a Jazz Bass copy. I did outgrew it, but looking back now I'm not sure why I sold it.

I just found out at one point that it was taking too much space in the room and gathering dust so I wanted to pass it on. It went to good hands I hope - guy who got it allegedly was buying it for some children mini music school or something similar.

I sold my Fender Telecaster sometime ago because it had such low action that it did a lot of string buzz...It was an awesome guitar that I got for a good price too and if only I knew it could be easily fixed if I invested a bit in it :/ Still, from the money I got, I invested in an Ibanez Prestige biggrin.gif

Hello Bogdan,

yes my old Lowden F 34 Custom handmade by George Lowden a very fine guitar i just did not play enough with . dry.gif

And when i decidet to get back into guitar playing , because i really love electric guitar voice , i changed my old Lowden to
a new Duesenberg 49 , what is now my favourite One . rolleyes.gif

But now i spend much more time with guitar study and sometimes it would be fine to exercise some acoustic stuff with the Lowden and her real wonderful and warm noise huh.gif

but every thing went the right way because my Lowden is played in an irish folk band and they use all Lowden Guitars and this fits well together biggrin.gif

Hey - that is amazing! I would really love to stumble upon my old gear I sold and see it played by some bands on the stage.
Now I really wonder where all the stuff I sold went? smile.gif

I always miss my previous gear but people change...and sometimes You can't afford to keep old guitar or amp just to have fun once a month or so...

I miss my old Schecter Demon that was after luthiers adjustment - frets leveling, nut and saddles changed for graph-tech...One of the best bangfor the buck guitars for heavy playing..It was one of the oldest...a little better than what they does now...

I regret selling any of the musical gear I've ever sold!
Especially my first Fender Tele, Strat and my collection of Custom painted Dean's from the late 80's. I still have my favourite one that had a Thundercats paint scheme and was my main Guitar for years. Others in the collection were my 2nd guitar "Go Go Gadget", 2 other Thundercat ones, He-Man/Skeletor etc!
Also miss a lot of my FX Pedals etc too!!!

I sort of regret swapping my Warwick thumb 5 string bass...but I don't regret the Tobacco sunburst US Fender Strat that I got for it..strange one that...I love the strat.........I console myself with that and the fact that I think I'd have been happier with a four string Bass anyway... I used to have a beautiful blue Fender strat with Lace sensors but I've thought about it and to be honest I don't actually regret that.......I regret the nice flight case that went with it though......
All of my guitar money is still in my guitars though.....I always got another guitar or Bass with the money (or part exchange)... smile.gif

I had a Jackson RR-1 from the 80s that I sold about 10 years ago, kinda wish I hadn't. Not that I'd play it much nowadays, but still!

A Tacoma acoustic. I loved that guitar, never found another like it. It was so light it almost felt like balsa wood, and had this strange pepper smell. A natural, dull finish which was more like treated wood instead of a coating on it.

At the time I figured that if I ever wanted another acoustic it would be no big deal to find one I liked equally as much, but I have not, so I just have a cheap Fender which is fine, until I find that particular model again, and hopefully have the money for it and my wife will allow me to spend that money for it.

Also had an Ibanez Electric, I forget the model, but it had the Wizard neck on it, and I loved that neck. I traded it for a 5 string bass. Of course it's not problem finding a wizard neck, but actually shelling out the cash for it would be the issue, as I think my next guitar I would like either a Les Paul or you guys have me drooling over some of those Jackson's too.
