> IS THAT YOUR MAMA?

Nope didn't think so either. We all know parents don't get this.

I can show you how to be the virtuoso your folks could only dream about, but I first need your help:

* Pm me and I will show you where to start. I am online every day and I will help you out directly!

* Join my mentoring program. I will customize your learning experience in a way you haven't experienced before. We will have regular contact so that you can remain inspired every day and eventually reach a new level.

* Join my next video chat! GMC startpage holds a video chat schedule. We always cover a lot of ground and have fun. Remember that you don't need any previous knowledge, and you can be passive in the chat.

* Jam with me - you will find active collabs here.

* Post a topic on this board, guitar related or not - doesn't matter! You will find that chatting with instructors boosts your motivation to practice.

* You haven't missed my latest video lessons, have you?

* Oh and did you know that to become a killer guitarist you just need to focus on one thing? Everything
else is secondary. Pm me and I will explain.

Alright mate - I'll be on it once you post stuff, as usual smile.gif

So, about the legato one - your notes sound more and more equal in terms of timing and dynamics, but there are still missed notes - usually the ones, before or after shifts - focus on getting those to sound at a slower tempo and then work your way up here smile.gif

The Bullet for my valentine lesson - dude, your right hand seems like it's on dynamite biggrin.gif Now, I would slow it down and focus on the left hand and on the coordination between the hands, as there are a lot of phrases which sound a bit unclear due to the coordination problems. Slowing down and focusing to play everything as tight as possible, is the way to go here wink.gif

The voice - please tell me, have you tried to play alongside the original recording? You need to focus on reaching the correct pitches when bending and there are those little bends in the beginning, such as the one at 0:20 for instance which you are not playing. Please try to play with the recording to see the differences, deal?

Cosmin

I can feel the strength smile.gif There's still room for improvement on the shifts, but man it's very clear that you are practicing! biggrin.gif Keep going! Ok? And as a plus, try to visualize where you are shifting your hand when the time comes, ok? It will help a lot!

Hey amigo! biggrin.gif

You are making great progress!

The Bullet for my Valentine track is by far the most demanding rhythm piece you have shown me. It is not yet 100% tight but it is slowly going there. The solo was not bad as well - you should practice it slower against a metronome if you can smile.gif Will you make a film out of this track? I would like to see you perform!

Walking the demon - this tune sounds a lot like a Romanian band - friends of mine, called Goodbye to gravity! As with the previous one, you need to put a bit more time into it to get it 100 percent tight! Otherwise, slowly but surely, your playing is getting better and better!

Thanks.

My video.

I recorded two guitars separately and mixed it.
But there are many unsynchronized places there.

Heh! Not yet perfect indeed, but it's building up nicely! As I said, you are clearly prone to nailing rhythms faster than leads biggrin.gif That is of course something that you can take to your advantage smile.gif The lead part still needs a bit more attention to the pitches and all around feeling, but the whole song is a demanding piece and you are clearly doing a good job with it smile.gif

How's the legato lesson going?

I am working on "legato" and "the voice"
lessons in parralel.

one moment:
I put on my Jackson 11-56 strings for the Drop C tuning.
So I play "legato" and "the voice" in the D tunung.
Because I think that the E tuning is not for 11-56 strings.
I will put on 10-46 strings on this week and record the lessons.

Hi, Cosmin.
One think came to my mind.
I would like to find somebody who play drums and bass.
I would be great to mix real covers.))
I hope that there is somebody who makes first steps playing drums and wants to find someone like me.
May be I should find drums forums.?)
Today it is impossible to play with somebody in usual way but online seems a not bad solution.

What do you think?

I think it's a great way of developing your skills smile.gif Start with Facebook musician oriented groups. I am 150% certain there are A LOT of people like you, searching band mates over the internet. Take the lead and find some dudes, but have this in mind:

- you should aim to work with people who are a bit more experienced than you - in this way, you will keep progressing faster wink.gif
- aim for people having similar musical tastes with you

Let me know if you find something, ok? biggrin.gif And also, keep me posted about the legato and the voice lessons wink.gif

Hi, Cosmin.

About me.
I am a good enough coast killer manager as people say .
I live in a crazy country.
My father fought for democracy but he died under mysterious circumstances in 2005.
I worked in Yukos and was one of the not bad managers of company but after the destruction of Yukos in 2009 I was going to leave Russia.
But it was very difficult and I was forced to stay.
I think I can say that I am a self employe now.
Sometimes companies invite me for consulting them.

Well, I am very happy because I have my family.
Also I opened a new world-music.
I meet interesting people( I appreciate very much our meeting) who show me more than I could suppose.
))
I am very thankful for that.
Music doesn't allow me to lose my mind)))
I found a drummer)))

Man... about your dad, I'm sorry to hear that. You live in a beautiful country with a tremendously vast history and culture, but indeed, life seems difficult in there out of what we can see and hear at the news...

I am glad you found a drummer! What sort of experience does he have? What have you to decided to do in order to start things? smile.gif

Thanks.
Everything is fine.
Life is beautiful and man makes it what he wants.
))
About the drummer:
He is a session drummer but he likes my invitation.
He asked me to choose a composition which we start to play together.
I find it difficult to choose
)
I am thinking...and working

I think my my weak point is solo.(
And I make very slow steps in this way
look at this
https://www.dropbox.com/s/cksfjj46ncg18ub/skillet.m4a

I suppose I have a problem.
I started to play compositions and I spend a lot of time for that.
So I do my exercises less.
I am worried that my technic will stop improving.

You sent me a schedule a couple of months ago.
It was great but now I think I should correct it.

May be I should stop playing covers and concentrate on my technic?
But I love music...
Probably I want too much..

I could not imagine that music fills everything in my life.
I need more time... and patience

Time and patience are of the essence! smile.gif Well, why don't you two start with one video cover of one of the songs you can already play well? Don't go for ones with solos yet - you are good with riffage so choose one of those first hand wink.gif

The main theme leads in this one are pretty much ok, but you should focus on making them sound a bit more balanced - as you do with riffs biggrin.gif You nailed those nicely!

The solo is a bit too fast for you at this point, so I would suggest you to keep working on it at slow speed until you can play it clean and tight and expressive, then as usual raise the speed. The part at 03:05 still needs a bit more work as you tend to lose timing because of the speed.

Keep me posted mate! And yes, life should be chiseled by each one of us as we see fit best for ourselves and the ones we love!

Cosmin
