Ok, I will do it.

It would be better if you recommend me something for transcription.
Because I can chose something difficult again

smile.gif Sure thing - how about if we begin with a chord based lesson from GMC? It's the best way to train your ears as a beginner - chord and simple lead lines!

Hey amigo smile.gif You need to focus on sustaining each note you bend up to a pitch for as long as it's necessary - at this point, you are bending and you are not holding that note in the intended pitch. Don't worry, bending, vibrato and articulation in general, is a skill that comes with time!

Can you record while focusing on holding those notes while bending, for as long as it's necessary, without letting the pitch decrease?

Cosmin

Hello, Cosmin.
Of course I will.

About transcription.
What do you say about this?

https://www.dropbox.com/s/ccivixevh8vuyoh/M...0%28Demo%29.mp3

Or it's difficult for me at present time?

I find this on a russian forum.
One man bought mesa mini and recorded his demo.

Well, and it is my homework(power chords)

Hey mate! I think that it is difficult at this stage indeed - there's a lot of complicated phrasing and techniques which you can't handle yet, but the good news is that you did a nice job with the power chords! smile.gif It sounds good!

I am glad you like the Tesseract lesson - it is a bit difficult, but what the hell, let's hear what you can do smile.gif Deal?

Hi,Cosmin.
I have one question about the lesson.
When I tuned my ESP in Drop A the strings loosened.
And when I started playing figure like this

-8-------8
---------
---5-x-5-

the 6(th) string make a sound like a flageolet when a mediator touches the string to make a pause ----x-----
and I palm it by right hand.

Is it right?

I am going to business trip to Moscow tomorrow and will return on Saturday to continue.
I hope I will record something on Sunday(may be earlier)

Cheers

Hi,Cosmin.
I was a little busy but I didn't stop playing.
About Tesseract lesson.
It is in a drop A tune I think that is a very low.
I am doing it and not ready to show my result.
In parallel I tried to transcript something easier than Blinded Colony.
I could not find back track so I will post an original vers and my transcription.
Don't look at my technic I will correct it.

https://www.dropbox.com/sh/gqoh4o4ss6ib64s/uIWeBC9Ue9

It is the first attempt in my life.

Hey mate, welcome back - no rush regarding the Tesseract lesson - when you have something you can share it with me wink.gif

About the transcription - mate, it sounds good to me! Now, as you said, you need to work on making it sound tight and correct - I recommend you to record against a metronome and try to make things flow and sound even. You are on the good way!

What else have you been up to?

Hey mate - of course there are exercises, but I think that you have stuff on your hands right now, which you could transform in to exercises. What I mean by that, is that the stuff you have transcribed is correct and you could work on it with the metronome, paying attention to the correct timing and making the notes sound big and full, should work great for this drill.

I don't want to place too much stuff on your hands, before you get to finish the stuff you are already working on, so let's make a revision smile.gif

What are you currently working on?

Hi,Cosmin.
I sold my Gibson LPJ last Thursday and now I have only one guitar - ESP Horizon NT II.
But I set on 10-46 strings on it and I think that drop A has not enough good sound.
I suppose that the lowest tune in this instance is drop C.
Well in paralel I am working on
- F# Phrigian -B minor solo lesson
This is a Fridays attempt https://www.dropbox.com/s/punhu6ehrzujaxl/F...%20120%2024.m4a

- Modern metal lesson
This is Friday attempt too https://www.dropbox.com/s/8s5pfmku02bh6ve/M...0100%25%202.m4a

And I learnt intro solo Fade to black by Metallica.

https://www.dropbox.com/sh/f67sjq9ima5qod4/ohNtZt-lQd

I understand that they are in a very high level but I liked them.

There are legato, speedy arpeggio, palm muting and others technics in these lessons.

And I am going to continue a transcription others songs.
foe example this : https://www.dropbox.com/s/qzi71d7nqv541jx/A...ath_of_life.mp3
It impressed me very much

Cheers,
Paul

Hello mate smile.gif

I have listened to everything you sent and my thoughts are unanimous towards the little hurdle you have to jump right now - you attempt tackling stuff which is a bit over your level and the only way in which you will be able to play those things, is slowing down.

The one which sounds best in my opinion is the metal lesson, which is close to your level. The others have parts which are faster than you can play right now and you need to slow those particular parts down and work on them with a metronome. For instance, the lick in the Metallica solo - the fast one - let's start with that smile.gif Can you record it at let's say 50% against a metronome?

Ok.
I will try.
You see I am very impatient but when I am training I do it in a slow temp.
I would like to ask you don't look at my paralel exercises.
I feel that you prepared a learning plan for me and I don't want to broke it.
It is not good and will stop my increase.
So I will always do every exercises which you give me.
Others are like a hobby for general developing.
We stopped at a power chords.

Cheers

Thank you for your kind thoughts man smile.gif I am trying to make the basics work flawless for you, so that's why I insist on tackling simpler things which will sound good, as your level allows it. The transitions from one level to another should be smoother, you know? Impatience smile.gif well, you seem like you have lived enough to know that impatience doesn't bring anything good in one's life - am I right?

So, let's focus on the recording of the Hinder song - it's got riffs which you can play quite well, so why not use it as a rhythm developing exercise and record it tight and focusing on having great timing and balance. The chords/ riffs should also sound clean and full! Deal?
