This was A LOT better - you are starting to get definition on the picking and you only played less clean around 0:30 for instance. Watch out for the bends at 0:09 and the ones at the end - now you are bending too much - you are over the pitch Please try to lower the bend just a little bit, ok? Keep rocking, man! I think you nailed everything - well, the solo still needs cleaning up, as you rushed through the picking parts a bit and that bend at the end was over the pitch. I should've recorded the official play through today, but I am not feeling confident yet and I postponed it with a week, for next Sunday.. I want to make a good job out of this recording so, I need to be as well prepared as possible. I noticed you are playing some chords a little different than I do, but they sound better so, thank you for the inspiration! You know, I came to the conclusion that it's virtually impossible to play something in the EXACT way that someone else plays it I realized this while learning Pantera songs. Each guitarist has a strong personality, which once imbued into a song, it makes that song sound exactly like him and usually we will have pretty much a hard time getting there, simply because we are us and he is him Even though you can play that solo note for note, it'll still sound like you not like him and that goes for me as well. So in my opinion, you should aim to respect the technical aspects and play it as expressive as possible, without aiming to sound exactly like him It may seem a bit difficult at first, but with time you will get there What do you think? Now, about performing in front of an audience - as long as you think they will judge you, you will feel strange and you won't be fully comfortable with performing. Self confidence comes with time and with 'throwing yourself into the wolf's den' as they say Play for EVERYONE and in front of everyone as often as you can It's the ONLY way in which you will surpass this feeling. Because in that time I did not know what kind of difference can be between guitars and what I beed to do. But I was sure that I should buy better guitar. I think that to study on a good guitar and gear is much better, despite people in shops invite me to buy a cheep guitar. And I bougth it once upon a time and sold it in a few time. When I started to play the first sounds I felt very uncomfortable. The first who heard my sounds was my wife. And even for her I could not play. I am very self-critical,somebody in me want that when I play it shoul be perfect. And when I don't do so he scolds me very much. And now my wife is the only who hear my playing,because I play at home. She always supports me. She says that she likes my playing and my growth. All frends of mine are not ready to believe that I can play the guitar. When they see my video they think that it is a fake. Some friends of mine was inspired very much. Denis began to play too. Now, if you want to build up confidence - your wife is definitely the one to help you out with that - she is your soul mate and partner in life, right? I say - each two weeks, pick up a song she likes and learn it for her and then, treat her with a glass of wine and play the song for her, not only will it increase your self confidence when playing the guitar in front of someone, but it will also make her feel amazing What do you think? Is the voice at the same pitch as the guitar? - you can try this by singing into a microphone connected to a tuner - that one will tell you immediately if you are over or under the pitch Try this and let me know how it feels, ok?
