yeah, this is a good way of using it. I remember my blues guitar teacher when I was around 15 used it like this a lot and the tone was very cool. I'm using a Bad Horsie nowadays so it's not possible to use it like this.

Michael Schenker and Mick Ronson are/were two other that use a 'fixed' wah setting.
It's pretty popular as there are a few non-wah pedals that do this. Keeley 'Nova' Rocktron 'sweet spot' Fulltone 'secret freq' -------------------- - Ken Lasaine

Interesting! I didn't know MXR made a wah pedal. i think they make a couple wahs. not sure but i think i recall using 2 wahs by mxr when trying to pick one or maybe it was a different dunlop? acctually i think dunlop and mxr are the same company the one i like and bought is made by mxr but it doesnt have any mxr lables on it, i think a boutiqe pedal company teamed up with mxr, called CAE, custom audio electronics. here is a link good reviews all around for it. http://www.musiciansfriend.com/amplifiers-...r-effects-pedal This post has been edited by dcz702: May 15 2013, 11:29 PM |

I do believe the first Dethklok album was recorded with an old Pod XT into a Krank amp. Then under the settings in the Pod XT used the Wah Effect and half cocked it to give the scoop he was looking for.

Mark Knopfler did this for Money for Nothing.
I own a pedal called the Boss Spectrum that is similar to this. Someone mentioned Michael Schenker and he is also a user of the Spectrum. This post has been edited by Amp360: May 16 2013, 03:39 AM -------------------- company contact
