Hey guys! I just discovered this unexpected news (at least for me) about Stone Temple Pilots and the incorporation of Chester Bennington replacing Scott Weiland. There is a new song and some live videos.

I checked this viedo and I think that he is doing a very good job, but I feel like listening to a tribute band instead of STP.

really surprised to see him in STP! Its quite a tough act to follow, Weiland has a really cool voice. I cant imagine chester singing 'sex type thing' or 'plush' but I'd be interested to hear him.

The new track sounds pretty good though, I prefer that to Linkin park smile.gif

probably a good move for STP, if they absolutely HAD to replace Weiland.

You say 'minor pentatonic ' like it's a bad thing

It's true, there is something interesting in the new song. Let's see what happens with the new album...

It's certainly gonna take some getting used to smile.gif He's a fine singer to be sure. It does sort of feel like a tribute band as you mentioned. Without the voice, STP almost sounds like a a Chester side project. Then again, it sort of is a chester side project now smile.gif
