Anybody tried AMPLITUDE 3 FREE E.G. AMPLITUDE CUSTOM SHOP?

I've been testing out bits of gear that I don't have yet in the custom shop. The TUBE SCREAMER clone is quite good smile.gif

Nice Thread Todd!

voxengo makes a few of descent free and a "must have" plug-ins like SPAN (frequency analyzer)

http://www.voxengo.com/

Juicy 77 - one of my favourite "american style" high gain free vst:

http://www.bteaudio.com/software/Juicy77/Juicy77.html

Poulin vst amps...not need to introduce:

http://lepouplugins.blogspot.com/

Guitar Suite - one of the best JCM900 vst sims I've tried:

http://www.simulanalog.org/guitarsuite.htm

Useful Akai pack - pitchright is sort of autotune (very transparent and natural). Quad comp is great for multiband compression

Here are some free IR cabs for people that record direct and looking for that something extra in tone.

RedWirez
GuitarHack IR Pack
'God's Cab'

Free Impulse Loaders
LePou - LeCab 2 - Impulse loader that allows for 6 Impulses to be loaded at once, allows for phase inversion and panning.
Voxengo - Boogex - Allows one sim to be loaded at the time, but allows for EQ tweaking of any given impulse.
KefIR - Probably the easiest IR loader to use. Very simple and to the point.

These are really great impulses, thanks for posting smile.gif I use most of these in various presets in OVERLOUD TH2. The good news is that they seem to transfer with the custom overloud preset.

I'm a huge fan of bootsie's plug-ins (all freeware) when it comes to mixing. I advise to download everything in the download section smile.gif

Although its not guitar specific, I tend to use the nastyDLA for delays. Specially like it for that epic solo depth tone biggrin.gif

delay

As a quick setting; get the "color" and "feedback" knobs to the middle and decrease "wet" knob to -15db, then adjust to taste.

FREE PRO TOOLS!!

Yup. There is finally a FREE, yes, FREE version of PRO TOOLS. It's called "PRO TOOLS FIRST". You can download it here.
http://www.avid.com/protoolsfirstactivation

Even if you use some other DAW or freebie DAW already, knowing your way around Pro Tools is something worth being able to do. Hopefully, you can learn to work on many DAWs just like you can play different guitars. You wouldn't ever say "I only play this one Les Paul, I can't play any other guitar" would you? So why would you use only one DAW? smile.gif

Here is a vid with some quick bits about using the ELEVEN RACK as a front end for PRO TOOLS, since it's got a Mic Preamp built in, you can have multiple inputs at the same time in pro tools. Eg.

*One stereo Track of guitar processed sound
*One clean guitar track for reamping/plugin processing
*One Vocal track through the mic preamp processed in pro tools
or
*One Microphone on your fave guitar cab to mix in with the sound to make it HUGE.

Need to make your guitar sound like bass for a quick demo? Here ya go smile.gif This octave plugin will drop your guitar an octave to make it sound more like a bass. I would not use it on a track that you plan to press CDs from, but for working out ideas it's great smile.gif
