Hey guys! As I said in another thread, I had Cirse's new album guitar sessions this weekend. We recorded for 4 days during 10 hours each day. I must say that it was very demanding, I played lots of hours every day. We took that time because both the producer and the guitar tech has been very obsessive with the guitar tones for the different tracks. We had to decide which guitar, which amps and then how to set them for each of the 11 songs recorded. (There are two more in the album that has been recorded).

This time I didn't only concentrated on what to play and playing the things right, I did a big effort to give everything a special interpretation moving from groovy, to aggressive, to sweet... I used to do this with melodies and solos but this time I tried to get this during rhythms, chord progressions, riffs.

I still have to record 2 solos that I didn't composed, some arrangements and electronic tracks for 2 or 3 songs but I'm close to finish my job for the album.

How are you? What have been doing this weekend?

I was busy too Gabe smile.gif Moving to the new place and setting my home studio once again. Also had some guest performance. I know how it's like...buying, borrowing and transporting new gear to find the best set up for the project. Sometimes I'm jelous for Sting who affords to put the studio in his castle and feel like home plus...record when You want...not when You have too because of the deadline and cash amount for the project. I hope Your work will result as something really awesome...which I believe will happen smile.gif

Totally awesome man! I expect Cirse's album to be a great piece of music!

On the 24th we are entering the studio as well, to record a new single which is announcing the new album which we plan to release somewhere next spring. This one will also have a music video which will be filmed somewhere during the summer - the scenario is going to be ready in a couple of weeks so, I am really anxious!

This summer is filled with great festivals for Days of Confusion

7th of July - opening for Soilwork, Biohazard and Enter Shikari

A summer tour sponsored by a big beer brand here in which we were invited to perform - it's gonna be 6 cities, big stages in open air, alongside some big names in Romania.

18th of July - performing at the Peninsula Festival - don't know which stage yet, but here are some of the names which will be there: Marky Ramone, Within Temptation, Dragonforce and Kaiser Chiefs

28th of July - opening for Rammstein and Trivium with that electro-metal project I have been invited to perform with.

August 29th - performing at another festival alongside Gojira (the French band), Textures, Napalm Death and a few other extreme metal names.

And finally in September we will perform at MTV Unplugged, but hopefully, we will also get an entrance at other festivals, because there are a few more left, where we are expecting an answer from biggrin.gif
