I just saw John Hatcher's (our new instructor) introduction thread and thought that it would be cool if we share here our favourite acoustic blues videos. smile.gif

That's funny, because when I saw the title of this thread, I thought I know what I will post...but you had already posted it!!! laugh.gif

Bit I'll post this instead : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uwHvKTYOfVM

It happens to be Hendrix again..There is something by Robert Johnson...but I can't remember the name, but Keith Richards does a good cover on his acoustic.

edit again: 32-20 Blues : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U5ANjb-yAVE

Sorry that I don't know how to post these Youtube videos like Gab did...just links I'm afraid...if someone else can tell me I'll edit.

Among many others these two right here introduced more than a couple of generations of future american and british guitar players to the blues/country blues. Elizabeth Cotton, Rev. Gary Davis, Charley Patton of course Robert Johnson (and a ton of others) are also responsible for what ultimately became country and rock and roll music.
The two below were tunes that I learned to play with my first really good guitar teacher.

One of my favorite blues artists John Lee Hooker. He mosty played just semi-acoustic but I thought it still worth sharing in this thread. smile.gif

Not pure blues, and not exactly acoustic but I was listening to this song right now:
