Hey guys! I would like to invite everybody to join my new collab based on the music of my new lesson "Sum 41 Style". I remixed a backing track of this lesson to use is as the backing for this collab!

https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/ls/Sum-41-Style/

If you check the lesson, there you will find the chord progressions an the scales that you can use. The tempo is 180 bpm and the key is Am. I let an intro riff where you shouldn't record any solo, I will loop the following part.

Deadline: 4th July

Important info: This is an audio collab so I will be expecting two audio files from you in .wav or mp3 (320 kbits) formats. One file that includes your playing with the backing track and another file that only includes your guitar to let me mix it with the other ones. You can post all the takes at this thread. If you use Soundcloud, please remember to allow downloads.

Attached File  backing_180_bpm_in_Am.mp3 ( 835.69K ) Number of downloads: 169

The backing is in Abm, I'll re-upload the file later today with the correct name.

Who is in??

Hello guys! Here I would like to share the final mix and comments for this collab! Unfortunately we didn't have many participants for this one but both Gitarrero and Renan have done a very good job! smile.gif

Attached File  Pop_Punk_Collab_Final_Mix.mp3 ( 2.59MB ) Number of downloads: 81

Gitarrero:
Your solo starts with the main riff melody played on a higher octave, it sounds like a very good arrangement. Then you continue with a solo that fits perfectly with the style. I like how you created an instrumental pop punk piece with your solo. It's very funny to hear because you use different rhythms, simple but effective melodies and move from single note melodies to octaves very smoothly. Great job!!

Renan:
I like the ideas that you provided on this solo, mostly the first half of it. The main thing to improve on your solo is your timing, you should try playing the whole thing tighter with the backing. Your tone and technique besides that is very good. Well done! wink.gif
