Hi guys,

My name is Monica Gheorghevici and I am new member in GMC. I have 35 years old and I live in Bucharest, Romania. I don't like to talk about me, but I think it's normal to make a little introduction. So, I made musical school at piano section. For many years (30 exactly) I played at piano only for fun and entertainment. In 2011 I was asked to compose a song for a photography website and this was the start for serious works and projects ( it was my first song I sold it).
In August 2012 I bought a guitar: “my sweet black boy” Jackson DK2, so I start learning guitar with a personal teacher and a new chapter has began. This was a start for more investments and now I have a mini home studio equipped with: synth Roland Juno Stage, guitar Jackson DK2, Line 6 UX2, Roland drums TD4K2 and studio monitors Yamaha MSP5. In April 2013 I was asked to work at a new project and I start to compose music for films. I make extra projects in my short free time, because I dedicate all of my time to play at guitar. My program it's very busy because i have a normal job in a IT company, every evening I study at guitar for 4-5 hour, and in weekend I play at guitar for 10-12 hour per day. So, I try to recover in a short time, the many years that other guitarists had before me smile.gif My dream is to became a very good guitarist.

My favourites guitarists and influences are: Andy Timmons, Steve Vai, John Petrucci and many others (too much long list).
But I really want to remind about 2 of my favorite guitarists which inspire me very much every day and their playing style it's awesome. The both are not only guitarists for me, they are musicians: Darek Wawrzyniak and Yannis Papadopoulos.

I think I've bored you enough smile.gif
If you are curious how I play, you can find me on my Youtube channel:

I wish you a very good day to all of you !!!
Monica

Hey monica smile.gif

Funny to say I went the opposite route, played guitar for long years then started piano pretty late when accepted to music university (composition). Toughest for me was to "think" like a piano player when composing. This site has great riff video's that I'm sure will help you together with the GMC staff smile.gif
