Hello guys!! I would like to invite you to my new collab!! This time the style is Thrash Metal!!

The tempo of the backing is 145 bpm, and the tune starts in D Phrygian, then modulates to [C minor (the second section) and finally in the third section it gets moves to D minor.

Deadline: 4th August

Important info: This is an audio collab so I will be expecting two audio files from you in .wav or mp3 (320 kbits) formats. One file that includes your playing with the backing track and another file that only includes your guitar to let me mix it with the other ones. You can post all the takes at this thread. If you use Soundcloud, please remember to allow downloads.

Attached File  Thrash_Metal_Collab_145_bpm.mp3 ( 1.81MB ) Number of downloads: 298

Wait a sec, this sounds really cool but I'm not entirely sure if I know how this works.

We download the track, play/solo over it, and send it back?

What happens then?

I'm really new to this so I'm not too sure. Thanks a lot!

Then the instructor mixes all the takes in to one file and share it here. He's giving also feedback of your playing.

You can play anything you want! smile.gif Just remember that the instructor needs a guitar only track - meaning you need to record your solo as a separate track without the backing track.

Hi taka! Nice to find you interested on this one! yeah, you have to record a solo over this backing track, whatever you want and then upload here two files, one with the mix of your solo and the backing and another one with just your guitar to let me mix it with the other takes provided by the GMCers. In the end, I will upload a mix with everybody and some comments. Just for fun and for practicing! smile.gif

Who could say no!!!! Killer backing!!! I like it so much in fact, I'd LOVE to use it for a VIDEO CHAT lesson if you don't mind? BARROOOTAAALLL.

Here is my take. These licks will be part of our SUNDAY METAL MELTDOWN.

**P.S. The tone is from the BRUNETTI amp in OVERLOUD TH2 which sounds nice and smooth/thick. It doesn't have as much bite as the Randalls, but hey, it was time for a new amp smile.gif

Here is the guitar only track, download enabled. smile.gif
