Guess I'll wait and collect more money to get a decent guitar that's not so entry level, because I can't bring myself to buy anything I haven't tested :/

I've had a decent amount of bad experiences so I get pretty scared now when I buy any kind of music equipment :/

I think you took the wisest possible decision smile.gif And whatever you do, do not under any circumstances, buy something you haven't tested yourself!

Schecter guitars are great for the price smile.gif

The quality is very good in mid range price, the stock pickups are good, but you can change them in the future. Im a Proud
owner of few Schecter guitars.I can't give any opinion about the guitar you want to buy, but you should try it before buy it. It is very important smile.gif

Recently i bought a discontinued 2006 Schecter guitars model. is a monster!

sure sam,

"mid range" in my country, has the same price as a "high range" guitar in ebay USA! lol

what kind of music do you want to play? one of my favorites mid range schecter model is the "devil 6". but it looks and sound very metal. Honestly all the mid range schecter guitars that i know are very focused in rock/metal. Not very versatile. for example: "Demon 6", "devil",etc. Schecter put curious names in their guitars haha

I will keep looking on the internet something more neutral and versatile, maybe i can help smile.gif

I have not too much experience with this brand. I just tried two models, Tempest Custom and Solo 6. I really liked both of them, however I'm not sure about the cheaper models. I think that the best would be to go and try one of the guitars that you want to buy, even more is the quality isn't something clear.

Gab...You will make any plank of wood sound good Dude!!!! laugh.gif

Versatile is good, I mainly play rock and metal, but I play other styles too. And specially for ballad playing, I'll need some softer sounds tongue.gif

Sounds like the SHECTER is off the table right? You mentioned you can play it unless you buy it and you don't want to buy before playing so the shecter is pretty much out yes?

I guess it comes down to what guitars the music store has left in stock that you don't own yet. Do they have anything you like? If so, set the ones in your price range to one side and play them one by one. By then end of it, you should know which one you want smile.gif

Aside from what I said before (still keep that opinion about checking out by yourself) I also sad I had a few Schecters and I had only good expiriences. Here are some of my vids:

Of course, if I can ever get my hands on one to try before buying, I'd certainly try it out. But if I can't, its off the table. And yeah, but they haven't got new stock in since the last time I went, so no excuse to go :/ I'm willing to try a Charvel DS-2 too, it looks absolutely beautiful tongue.gif

Nice playing man, I agree Schecter guitars can be amazing, that's why I'm looking for a place where I can try one out and if it fits my budget and is good enough for me, I don't see anything that stops me from buying it tongue.gif

I owned a Schecter Loomis at one point. Very well made guitar, loved the extended range, but disliked the neck a lot, it felt fatter than a Gibson LP due to being a 7-string. Other than that it was a great guitar.

I'd love a 7 string, I only can't handle extremely thin or extremely thick guitar necks, anything in between will be good for me, I've experimented tongue.gif

Hey sam,

just wanted to say that I'm quite satisfied with Schecter. I played a Damien (I think the same one Darius had) a while ago and switched to a 7string Damien Elite last year. Here are some REC takes with them..

Nice videos mate, and if I had the money I'd get a high end shecter with my eyes closed, because I've only heard good things about Schecters, but I guess money is a big problem tongue.gif
