He sounds like Kermit!

Whilst he's not a great teacher in the 'spoon feeding' you way. He did show his approach up close, to give inspiration for exploration, there is a lot of information in there to work on.

I actually totally agree with you! However, its amusing to watch how uncomfortable he is with the teaching chair! laugh.gif

He actually looks like Kermit as well sometimes! laugh.gif

Maybe he doesn't know the theory behind many things he is playing there, but who cares, there is a lot of great stuff to learn just in this short video. He is an amazing guitarist.

I really like his enthusiasm behind it.. it's much worse if you get some big star who looks like they can't be bothered to do it. At least here with Joe, you get the sound and the video footage so even if he doesn't explain the notes exactly, you've got 2 important reference points so you can pick up your guitar and fiddle around until you pin point what he's doing.

That's the way I always used to learn from watching other guys play. First I'd look at where their hands are on the neck - that's your first clue. Then I'd dig around that region until I got the same kind of sound that they were getting. That's really the only things anybody ever needs. You get to sit down and use your own imagination and perseverance that way.
